Royal Southern Brotherhood is a conglomerate of all music styles being influential in the Southern United States of America from Blues-Rock, Funk to Jazz. There is two musicians famous by there name in the group. First Cyril from the Neville Brothers. Second Devon, son of Gregg Allman. Miko Zito is well acknowledged as one of the finest guitarists from St. Louis. RSB have a deluxe rhythm section by Charlie Wooton on bass and Yonrico Scott on drums. They start utmost powerful and funky on the first track ‘New Horizons’ until Cyril sets in with his warm, soulful singing. This could be the new hymn of the South. ‘Fired Up’ has a latino touch by the guitar solos of Zito and Allman and the dynamic percussion play of Mr. Neville. Close your eyes and listen to ‘Moonlight Over The Mississippi’. You will feel the heat of the night and the gush of the cool river. ‘Fire On The Mountain’ has a reggae-groove. You will immediately get in the mood to dance or listen to the wah-wah guitar-solos. If you had a stressful day listen to ‘Gotta Keep Rockin’. You will feel immediately relaxed by the chants of Cyril and the splendid background-vocals. ‘Hurts my Heart’ has thrilling slide-guitar work and a dynamic rockin’ beat. ‘Sweet Jelly Donut’ starts by a guitar solo in honour of Jimi Hendrix and spreads the rock’n roll atmosphere by a New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade. ‘Brotherhood’ as finale has a calypso intro and the dynamic groove of the bass, drums and percussion play and pretty psychedelic guitar-duels. Excellent production by legendardy Jim Gaines and executive one by the German Blues Master Thomas Ruf. RSB are really royal ambassadors of all the cultures, religions and people in the region, from Black to White, Latino, French or American.
